In October 2020, at the start of the French Extinction Rebellion week of rebellion, in parallel with other countries all around the world, activists deployed a banner "Rebel" to encourage everyone to rebel against climate and social injustices. The Eiffel Tower was used as a symbol of the Paris Agreement.
