"The artivist (artist + activist) uses their artistic talents to fight and struggle against injustice and oppression. The artivist merges commitment to freedom and justice with the pen, the lens, the brush, the voice, the body, and the imagination. The artivist knows that to make an observation is to have an obligation." M.K Asante
Loulou is a documentary
producer director and editor.
They tell stories that ethically represent marginalised people on-screen.
"I was really happy with how I was portrayed in the film (...), particularly how Loulou handled my disability narrative with sensitivity and positivity, when she doesn't herself identify as disabled. The resulting film was a really emotional watch for me, it means so much to have a crucial period in my creative life and community documented and celebrated in this way." Reanna - One Inky Queer
'Collections of queer poets' is Loulou's graduation film. The 20-min film celebrates the poetry community in Brighton through the voice of the queer and disabled poet Reanna alias One Inky Queer.
